Cambridge isn’t just about Colleges and the University. In fact Cambridge was a thriving town way before some scholars stumbled upon Cambridge in their attempt to flee the death penalty from our Oxford friends.
At one time Cambridge was more famous for its annual Stourbridge fair, than for it’s Quads and lawns.
This blog aims to fill you in on the story of the town, not gown – although it is sometime hard to extricate the two. This blog will also inform you about some of the fantastic independent traders who sometimes fight to thrive as the focus of shopping is geared to the Grand Arcade.
Named as one of the most boring High Streets in the country – people need to know more about what is round the corner from the chain stores and meet some of the passionate shop owners who make Cambridge such a very special place to live and work.
Enjoy
